It’s time to register for Sunday School once again! Sunday school classes are open to everyone, approximately 12 years old or older, regardless of membership at The Field Church. Below, you’ll find a list of the classes offered for Session 3, which begins Sunday, January 11, and goes to Sunday, February 15. All classes begin at 8:30 am and end at 9:30.
Jonah (Pastor Tyler Bier)
Join Pastor Tyler for a study through the book of Jonah, a short but powerful story that reveals God’s heart for mercy, obedience, and compassion. Far more than a tale about a great fish, Jonah challenges us to examine our own hearts—our calling, our prejudices, and our response to God’s sovereignty and grace. This class will combine Scripture study with meaningful discussion and practical application for everyday faith.
Creation and Foundations: Understanding Genesis 1-11 and Its Role in Scripture (Pastor Mike Linstead)
Join Pastor Mike to explore Genesis 1–11, the foundational chapters of the Bible that shape the entire story of Scripture. Together we will study creation, the fall, the flood, and the tower of Babel, examining what these passages reveal about God’s character, humanity’s purpose, sin, judgment, and grace. The class will also consider how these early chapters inform the rest of the biblical narrative—from God’s covenant promises to the gospel itself. Through careful study and discussion, participants will gain a deeper understanding of why Genesis 1–11 matters for faith, theology, and daily Christian living.
Becoming a Lifelong Disciple Maker: Ordinary Saints, Extraordinary Impact (Pastors Josh Miller and Chad Wiles)
Disciple Maker Training is a 6-week Sunday School designed to equip every member of The Field Church to faithfully participate in making disciples, beginning with the people God has already placed in their lives. Rooted in Jesus’s command in Matthew 28:18–20 and the church’s calling in Ephesians 4:11–13, this class helps believers feel both the weight of sharing the gospel and the support of the whole church behind them.
Fundamentals of the Faith, Part 2 (Bo Whittemore)
Join Bo for a journey through MacArthur’s Fundamentals of the Faith workbook! Part B covers Lessons 8-13. This study will cover the more practical aspects of the Christian faith, such as prayer, worship, evangelism, and obedience. Part 1 is NOT required to register for Part 2.
