Summer Internship Program:

From its conception, the founders of The Field Church have dreamed about all that the Lord might do through our church to expand His kingdom. The Lord has already done abundantly more than we could ever ask or think, but we want to see Him accomplish even more! We desire to see more salvations, more disciple-making disciples, more leaders raised up, and more churches planted! The aim of our effort is worship. We ache to see God make more treasurers of Jesus in our community, in the greater New Orleans area, and around the world. But we know that we cannot accomplish this great task alone. In response to this realization, we are instituting The Field Church Internship.

The Field Church Internship gives aspiring leaders the opportunity to explore, develop, and receive training in vocational ministry. During the summer period (May 31st–July 25th 2021) we will accept 4-6 interns. Interns will spend their weeks building relationships with the lost in our community, sharing the Gospel, shadowing The Field Church Staff team, assisting in the area of their particular ministry interest, receiving theological training, and worshiping together. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. We are praying desperately for the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into His harvest. This summer, would you consider joining all that the Lord is doing in the greater New Orleans area?

We Offer:

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • An intern must be a follower of Jesus Christ committed to actively repenting of sin and taking steps of growth in their relationship with God

  • Desire eventual involvement in vocational ministry or Church planting
  • Be a current member of a local Church
  • Possess a faithful, humble, and teachable spirit

What are the Dates of the internship?
  • Interns will need to arrive in time for orientation – 10:30am on Monday May 31st, 2021
  • The internship will end on Sunday July 25, 2021

These dates are not flexible. It is important for each applicant to commit for the full 8 weeks in order to get the most out of their time at The Field Church.

When is my application due?

All applications are due March 31, 2021.

When will I hear back about my application?

Interviews will be scheduled for April 5-9 (video chat or phone call). All application decisions will be made and applicants notified by April 14, 2021.

What is the cost?

We anticipate an intern will need roughly $1000 to cover basic needs throughout the internship, (needs such as food and gasoline). These will be funds to use at your disposal–it does not go to The Field Church–but we make this recommendation so you’re prepared. Once you have been accepted to the internship program, we will make your arrangements for housing with a family of TFC, free of charge.

You have the option of raising support, and we recommend this option as it is a benefit to those who may wish to support you, since their gifts will be tax deductible, and because having to raise support for ministry is a very valuable experience for your future in ministry. We have seen just how the Lord works through the effort of support raising, both in you and in your supporters.

*If you wish to go about raising support to provide for you during your internship, we will gladly provide resources and training to equip you for the endeavor of support raising.

Where will I stay?

A family of The Field Church will house each intern for the duration of the Internship, free of charge.

How will I get around?

Please plan to bring your vehicle. In exceptional cases, we may be able to accommodate someone without a vehicle, but we cannot make any guarantees.
