Curriculum
During the Sunday school hour, we use the Generations of Grace curriculum. In this curriculum, children are led through the narrative of Scripture, from Genesis through Revelation, outlining God’s redemptive plan. The Generations of Grace curriculum is set up as a “unified curriculum,” which means that every week, children of all ages learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is appropriate for their respective age levels. A unified curriculum enables families to discuss one passage together each week, reinforcing the lesson children have learned in Sunday School.
Worship Service (10am)
Our goal is to help our children smoothly transition into being part of our full worship service by the time they are in first grade. We want children to hear the Word of God preached with the rest of our church and parents to shepherd their children in their understanding of God’s Word.
Classrooms Offered During the Worship Service
- Babies (6 weeks – 1 year)
- 1-year-olds
- 2- and 3-year-olds
- 4- and 5-year-olds
- Kindergarten*
*During a year of transition, our kindergarteners remain with their families for the initial worship portion of our service and then move to their classroom for additional teaching. Our elementary age children (1st grade and above) and students join with their parents for the duration of the worship service each Sunday.
Sunday Evenings (5pm)
On Sunday evenings, our young children are cared for by our servants and classrooms are divided as follows:
- Babies (6 weeks – 1 year)
- 1-year-olds
- 2-and 3-year-olds
On Sunday evenings, our preschoolers and elementary children join their classes for Adventure Club and classrooms are divided as follows:
- 4- and 5-year-olds
- Kindergarten-1st Grade
- 2nd-3rd Grade
- 4th-6th Grade
Curriculum
The Adventure Club curriculum takes children through a systematic study of theology in the Scriptures. Covering a broad range of topics, Adventure Club brings deep theological concepts down to a basic understanding through teaching lessons, Scripture memorization, and songs.
