As prescribed in God’s Word, the local church is to be led by a plurality of godly men known as elders (Heb 13:7, 17). Because of the importance and responsibility of leading, shepherding, overseeing, preaching, and teaching the Lord’s church (1 Tim 5:17; Heb 13:17; 1 Pet 5:1-2), The Field Church has partnered with XL Ministries for the training and equipping of its elders. All men who hold the office of elder at The Field Church meet the qualifications prescribed by God’s Word (1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
