Once a month we worship the LORD in remembering the Cross by taking the Lord’s Supper. Remembering that Jesus, the righteous one, died to pay for our sins. We are guilty of sin before God, and sin is so serious that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place! He made forgiveness available to us because He paid the debt! And we worship God in remembering this perfect, world-changing sacrifice. His body was broken and His blood was shed purposefully to save us, and cleanse us from the inside out! By His wounds, we are healed! (Isaiah 53).
“For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). “The soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4).
“Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them” (Galatians 3:10; Deuteronomy 27:26).
“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13).
“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the [wrath-absorbing] propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10).
